About Aquatics	English (USA)
The Aquatics Discussion List exists to promote communication among Natural Heritage Programs, Conservation Data Centers, NatureServe and The Nature Conservancy. Discussion is primarily focused on issues related to Natural Heritage sampling methods, aquatic ecosystem classification, EO specs for aquatic species and communities, and mapping standards for aquatic communities, but may include other aquatic issues where appropriate. Staff in academia, state and federal agencies, or elsewhere may also participate by invitation. Beth Bodmann (Beth_Bodmann@natureserve.org), a list member, moderates the list. The moderator makes membership decisions, reads all messages (but not before they go out to the list members), and generally ensures that the list remains focused on the intended purpose. It is intended to support informal information exchange and discussion among the targeted group. List members must read and agree to follow list guidelines. Using Aquatics
To post a message to all the list members, send email to aquatics@lists.natureserve.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Aquatics
Subscribe to Aquatics by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
